Public Speaking

ArgentinaProfile While some writers crave solitude, over the past ten years, I have found that public speaking feeds my curiosity and leads me in new and stimulating directions. As for teaching, my students keep me honest. I learn at least as much from them as they learn from me.

Since 2002, I have presented lectures primarily on language matters and freelancing at conferences in the U.S., Canada, Argentina and Switzerland. As well, since 2003, I have taught at Université de Montréal and the McGill Writing Centre.

I can’t remember how we found Nancy Locke when we were looking for industry experts to come to Argentina for the 5th edition of our Language and Technology Conference. What I do remember is that it was an excellent decision to invite her to share all her knowledge and experience on translation, localization, globalization and internationalization. Nancy’s participation was doubtlessly key to the success of the IMTT conference. – Cecilia Iros, CEO, suma (Argentina)
